About Huedrift — hold a moving color steady
Huedrift trains dynamic lightness tracking — keeping a moving color pinned to a target while it drifts on its own. Because the swatch never sits still, your eye and hand form a live feedback loop, the same continuous correction a colorist makes while grading footage or a printer makes chasing a tone as ink and paper shift during a run.
A live swatch drifts lighter and darker by itself. Use the up and down controls to hold it inside the target lightness zone; across three rounds it drifts faster and fights back harder.
Staying in the zone depends on reading lightness continuously against a reference. Learn how lightness works within hue, saturation and lightness, or see all our Learn about color guides.
