About Huember — tell warm from cool

Huember trains color temperature perception — the quick read of whether one shade leans warmer or cooler than another. Temperature is one of the first things the eye judges and one of the hardest to name, yet it drives white balance in photos, the mood of a room's paint, and whether a design feels inviting or clinical. Sharpening it makes you far quicker at catching a color cast or an off tone.

You are shown a color and asked whether the next one is warmer or cooler than it. Keep answering correctly to build your streak; one wrong call and the streak resets.

Warm and cool is a perceptual axis running across the whole spectrum. Read about warm and cool color temperature, or see all our Learn about color guides.
